A fan's show review: First up we have Rellik from Chicago, they proceeded to blitz through 7 or so songs with flawless precision, in turn totally lighting up the crowd which in turn they fed off themselves. Next up was Dumah from Wausau. Dumah played one of the better shows they have played in a while. Crow makes an excellent addition on vox. with this new lineup they could seriously go somewhere with this. Next up was D.O.T.A.C. also bringing us a new lineup to the fold. This is by far the strongest and most talented lineup they have had in a while. D.O.T.A.C. ravaged through about 6 or so songs debuting 2 new ones for us . I also noticed that they brought out quite a bit of life in the crowd themselves. Next up was New London's very own Eternal Silence. They played a 6 song set that was nothing short of amazing. Hell half way through the first song Global Castration they got the crowd so pumped I even pursued to join Sandi upstage in a 60 or so second headbanging session. Then a few songs later they had the crowd so damn jacked that even one of the older fellows decided to get up on one of the monitors and start crowd surfing. Jim and Keith as always had excellent guitar exsiccation along with hate filled duel vox. Wade was flying on the double kicks, and by far very technical all the way. Sandi's evil growling bass flew along with her golden locks throughout the air causing a bit of chaos in the pit. I went in there myself and noticed an erection problem going on with a few of the guys in there. Looks like Sandi gave them a few pointers. At one point a dude known as the Shit Hammer rushed the stage to hump her leg to release the tension. Next up were the headliners Century Media's own Divine Empire. They proceeded to blaze through a 12 song set without a hitch. They also proceeded to work the crowd very well and it showed because they keep the mosh going hard, saw Sandi up front wailing her hair to their monstrous set. All in all the whole show kicked major ass from start to finish. And an extra special thanx goes to Eternal Silence for setting up such a badass lineup, and we all look forward for the next massacre. --- Submitted by Jamie Harkness --- |
