Eternal
Silence
was formed in late 1996 with the intent of writing a straight-forward
original style of death metal. In 1998, the four members (Jim Flynn-Guitar
& Vocals; Keith Dorn-Guitar & Vocals; Wade Prelesnik-Drums; and John
Hill-Bass & Vocals) completed their demo. The CD, entitled Before
My Eyes, was circulated world wide and sold a significant number
of copies.
The band is based out of New London, WI and has played many venues in
Wisconsin and Illinois. They performed live with bands such as Disinter,
Morta Skuld, Experiment Fear, and Midian to name
a few. With much positive crowd response, a fan following quickly emerged.
Within
a short time the band was out playing shows with Jungle Rot,
Fleshgrind, Dying Fetus, Waco Jesus, Summon, Under
Threat, Gorgasm, Monstrosity, Divine Empire,
and many, many others.
The music is lyrically orientated towards many social issues and views
that the band shares. Eternal Silence has a style completely
their own. A style hard to compare to any one brand of death metal.
In late 1999 John Hill left the band due to personal reasons. The band
continued to play shows and write without a bassist. In late 2000, new
bassist Sandi Plaza replaced John.
With new material collectively written, a second release was recorded.
In April, 2002 the band entered the studio to record their new four
song demo entitled "The Dawning Of Chaos". The new music is
very captivating and full of strength, which has somewhat of an old
school feel. The response has been outstanding and the demo continues
to get excellent reviews. As the band's set list grows, so does its
fans.
In early 2003, Sandi left the band for reasons unknown. She was soon
replaced by former D.O.T.A.C. bassist, Joe Klotz. With the addition
of Joe, Eternal Silence is finally complete.
Eternal Silence's goal is to attain national exposure by continuing
to play their current venues, acquire new ones, write, play, and record
music that expands the band's horizons.
The band will continue to push forward despite any obstacles that may
come along. This defines the band as a group with a life-long commitment.
Eternal Silence will do everything to achieve their goal. To
the four members this is a calling that means a lot to them, and it
is only a matter of time before the right people take notice.
