"Death Metal Side" (Poland) review:
"The Dawning Of Chaos" is the second demo of the band from Wisconsin.
Previous one ("Before My Eyes") was released in 1998. Eternal Silence
(www.eternaldeath.com) plays massive, melodic death metal, pure in
form, I would even say that very traditional. In my opinion, the best
place for them on the map of US death metal would be close to Brutality
(especially "In Mourning") and Disinter. Eternal Silence's music is
more
melodic, but structures of the tracks as well as massive riffs remind me
of these two legendary acts. You don't have to worry if Eternal Silence
is original. They sound freshly and my comparisons are only to tell you
what kind of death metal you will hear on this demo. I am very glad that
Eternal Silence's vocalist didn't decide to use higher, blackmetal-liked
vocals what is a curse for many such projects. His growls fit to the
melodic and heavy riffs. The technical level of the material is good as
well as the production that's why this demo sounds very professionally.
Eternal Silence's music is not fast, rather mid-paced, but first of all
heavy and well-composed, that's why we can't wait for their debut CD,
being sure that if they won't change the style, we will hear a solid,
intelligent album.
